38-year-old man dies in Sigatoka road accident as 2 remain in hospital
A 38-year-old man has passed away following an accident along Queens Road in Nayawa, Sigatoka.

Police say the victim was from Olosara in Sigatoka, and he allegedly lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer onto the opposite lane and crash into a minivan carrying 15 passengers.

The driver was rushed to Sigatoka Hospital, where his death was confirmed by medical officials.

Police say two passengers travelling in the minivan remain admitted at Lautoka Hospital, while the remaining victims were treated and discharged.

The national road death toll currently stands at 18.
