38-year-old man charged for crashing into Narere Police Post

The 38-year-old man who crashed his vehicle into the Narere Police Station on Sunday has been charged and will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrate Court today.

Police say he is charged with Dangerous Driving Contrary to Section 98 (1) and 114 of the Land Transport Act 1998 and failing to Supply Sufficient Breath Specimens Contrary to Section (103) (2) (1A) (i) (ii) of the Land Transport Act 1998.

They say the man is from Laqere, Nasinu.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Livai Driu says the incident occurred at 11am Sunday.

Police say the driver was drunk and was arrested however no one was injured.
