$360,000 budgeted for the National Economic Summit

The estimated budget for the 2-day National Economic Summit is approximately $360,000 and to date, around $254,000 has been committed.

Major expenses includes venue hire, refreshments, equipment and technical services and media and public outreach.

This has been revealed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad who says around 500 delegates and participants are expected to attend the 2023 National Economic Summit.

He says the preparations are going well and the main venue for the Summit will be the Grand Pacific Hotel and of the twelve Thematic Working Groups, eight will be based at GPH and four at Albert Park.

He has also thanked the Suva City Council for availing Albert Park conference rooms for free of cost.

The 2023 National Economic Summit be held on the 20th and 21st of April.
