352 children involved in various forms of offences
A total of 352 children have been involved in various forms of offences so far this year.

This is according to police statistics for January till September by children under 13 up to 18 years of age.        

Police say most offences have been committed by teenagers aged between 16-18 years who have been mostly involved in thefts with 110 cases.

23 cases of teenagers being involved in assault occasioning in bodily harm has been reported.

Also two cases of attempted rape involving children under 13-years of age has been reported.

Police have also recorded 1056 children who have fallen victims of various offences so far this year.

Meanwhile, four students who allegedly assaulted a 17 year old student at his Tacirua home on Tuesday night have been released on bail by the Nasinu Magistrates Court yesterday afternoon.

The case has been adjourned to the 15th of this month.
