31-year-old woman charged for stabbing her de facto partner in Naviago, Lautoka

A 31-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed her de facto partner in their home in Naviago, Lautoka on Sunday morning has been charged with one count of attempted murder and will be produced at the Lautoka Magistrates Court today.

It is alleged that the woman stabbed her 37-year-old de facto partner causing serious injuries and grievous harm.

Meanwhile, Police Chief of Operations ACP Driu urges members of the public to resolve issues amicably as resorting to violence will only result in more suffering and pain.

ACP Driu says such incidents can be avoided when issues are dealt with amicably through discussions, without resorting to violence.

He adds alcohol is also an aggravating factor, and is again calling for moderation in the consumption of alcohol for everybody’s safety and well-being.
