Around 300 children took part in the child-led Palm Sunday service today at the Centenary Methodist Church in Suva where they sang hymns, read scriptures and performed a drama.

The Methodist Church in Fiji’s Palm Sunday message for this year is “Family and Evangelising Children”.

A parent who spoke on behalf of the church to acknowledge their children’s participation said that Palm Sunday should be every day.

At Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral, Tiana Aisea and Kirsty Nanau were grateful they were able to celebrate Palm Sunday this year.

They say they did not celebrate Palm Sunday last year due to COVID-19.

Children marched from Holy Trinity Primary School to Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

They also sang hymns and performed a drama.
