A 30-year-old woman has passed away following an accident in Waikona, Tavua yesterday afternoon.
Police say the woman was allegedly crossing from the back of a truck when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 74-year-old man travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver is in police custody as investigations continue.
