3 schools in Kadavu to have new classrooms through $2.95m assistance provided by Government of Japan

Students of three schools in Kadavu will start the next school year in new classrooms through the $2.95 million assistance provided by the Government of Japan.

The three schools are Vunisea Secondary School, Kadavu Provincial Secondary School and Richmond Methodist High School.

Minister for Education, Rosy Akbar says these three schools which were destroyed during Tropical Cyclone Harold will have new buildings to withstand category 5 tropical cyclones and the project is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

She says these schools will also receive new desks and chairs.

Akbar reminded teachers and students to stay focused to achieve their goals as a lot has been invested in their schools.
