Three prison escapees have been captured this early evening in Suva.
This confirmation comes from Director Operations, SSP Rusiate Tudravu a few minutes ago.
Earlier in the evening around 6.30pm, dozens of plain and uniformed police officers were in the area of Draunibota Bay commonly referred to as Bay of Islands opposite Novotel Lami where Fijivillage was on scene.
Eye witnesses confirm seeing three men taken by police.
Tudravu added that more details will be released later on who the captured prisoners are.
Two prisoners are still on the run, anyone with information on the whereabouts of the 2 escapees are encouraged to call Police or the Corrections Command Centre on 3100 107.
