Three people have been reported missing at sea after they left Natovi Jetty in Tailevu at 6am yesterday and did not reach Vugalei, Lami.

Police say all attempts to contact 51-year-old Iliasa Nakarawa, 19-year-old Lisi Raluvenilagi and 30-year-old Pete Morrel have been unsuccessful.

They received information that the drifting boat was seen near Nukulau Passage towing a yacht.

Water Police went out to search for the missing people at about 10.20pm yesterday but had to return about an hour later due to rough seas and poor visibility.

They will continue their search this morning.

People living along the coastal lines are requested to keep a lookout and report any sighting to the Police Search and Rescue Centre on 3318529 or 9905296.
