3 men remanded in custody for allegedly robbing farmer in Lautoka

Three men have been remanded in custody by the Lautoka Magistrates Court for their alleged involvement in an aggravated robbery in Lautoka on Monday.

34-year-old Epeli Tabuavou, 28-year-old Suliano Buliti and 25-year-old Marisela Delai were charged after allegedly forcefully entering the home of a 59-year-old farmer on Monday night in Qalitu in Lautoka, threatening the victim and stealing money and assorted items.

Divisional Police Commander West, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa says the three accused persons also residing in Qalitu were arrested the next day by a joint team consisting of Lautoka personnel and K9 officers with full recoveries made.

The matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court is adjourned to the 30th of this month.
