Three companies have shown interest to demolish the old Rewa Bridge in Nausori which has been classified as a potential hazard.

The Fiji Roads Authority is currently going through the expressions of interests before making a decision.

It says the bridge can hold its weight however they are mindful of the potential risk.

CEO, Kamal Prasad had earlier said the old Rewa Bridge has reached a stage which represents a risk to the public and may partially collapse without warning and restoring the bridge would be an expensive option.
