The 29-year-old carpenter who allegedly attempted to rape a 6-year-old girl during a drinking party in Nakasi has been charged and will be produced in the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
He has been charged with one count of attempted rape.
Police say the girl was alone inside the living room watching television while her parents were with others drinking when he allegedly committed the offence.
The girl has been medically examined as investigations continue.
