A 28-year-old man from Lovu, Lautoka will appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court this afternoon for obtaining $297 by deception.
Police say the accused is alleged to have on the 13th of November 2023, dishonestly obtained $297 from a member of the public as a deposit for a flat for rent posted on Facebook.
They say the man has been charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage by deception.
