A 27-year-old unemployed man from Lami who allegedly assaulted a Police Officer will be produced in court today.
Police say the 27-year-old allegedly struck the Police Officer twice with a cane knife on New Year's Day and fled.
They say the suspect was apprehended three days later and is charged with a count of serious assault.
