24 Recycling on the Go ambassadors today received a mobile phone each to boost their participation in keeping Fiji clean that was donated by Bondwell Fiji.

Ministry of Education Head of National Education Service Delivery Timoci Bure who was also the chief guest at the event, says they are fortunate to have such a talented and passionate group of students or ambassadors in the recycling program.

Bure says the ROG program will increase the participation rates of all the ambassadors with the aim to change the mindset of all Fijians.

He says there are certain challenges that will be faced in the beginning, but changes will begin to show from the perspective of students and teachers.

Meanwhile, Waste Recyclers Director and CEO, Amitesh Deo says the 24 ambassadors are students from Jai Narayan College.

Deo says that a significant investment is imperative in the area of waste management and recycling to protect our environment.
