23 people arrested for breach of curfew in the last 2 days

23 arrests for breach of curfew were recorded in the last two days.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says 13 cases were recorded from 11pm on Friday to 4am Saturday.

Tudravu says the Southern Division recorded seven cases, four cases from the Eastern Division while the Western Division recorded two cases.

He says all arrests made in the Eastern Division involved men who were drunk while all seven cases recorded in the Southern Division involved those loitering in public places.

Tudravu says in the Western Division one a drunk woman was arrested in Natabua.

He says from 11 o’clock last night to 4 o’clock this morning, 10 cases were reported where the Western Division recorded 7 cases and the Southern Division recorded 3 reports.

Tudravu adds 6 of the 7 arrests recorded in Lautoka and Rakiraki involved men who were drunk in public.

He says a woman was arrested drunk and walking around in Cunningham, a 17-year old was found drunk in Pacific Harbour and a 27-year old man was found drunk and walking along Laucala Bay Road.
