22 people arrested for breach of curfew restrictions

Twenty-two people were arrested for breach of curfew restrictions over the last 48-hours.

Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu says in the first 24-hours, 17 cases were recorded, with the Western Division recording nine cases and the South and Eastern divisions both recording four cases each.

Tudravu says the arrests made in the Southern Division were made in Nabua and Samabula with the four arrests made in the Eastern Division was in Nausori and Nakasi.

The nine arrests in the Western Division were from Lautoka, Sigatoka and Sabeto.

He says from 11pm last night to 4am this morning, five reports were recorded with three cases in the Southern Division and two cases in the Western Division.

The two arrests made in the Western Division involved two men who were found drunk in Sigatoka and Tavua while the three arrests made in the Southern Division were recorded in Raiwaqa and Valelevu.
