Twenty-one families in Natawarau Settlement in Ba who were affected by flooding from Tropical Cyclone Vaianu have received food ration supplies from the government.

The Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Mosese Bulitavu, accompanied by divisional and district officials, visited the community as part of the government’s ongoing response to ensure affected families receive immediate relief as they begin recovery.

He acknowledged the hardships faced by residents following the flooding and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting communities during difficult times.

Bulitavu also urged residents to remain vigilant and prioritise safety, with Fiji still weeks away from the end of the current cyclone season.
