A 2-year-old girl has died after being hit by a taxi along the Jerusalemi and Nabaci Village Highway in Savusavu after 6pm last night.
It is alleged that while crossing the road with a relative, the girl was hit by a taxi driven by a 36-year-old man.
The victim was rushed to the Savusavu Hospital where she was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations continue.
