Two women who allegedly caused the death of a 3-year-old in a road accident have been granted bail, and the matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court.
Komal Singh is charged with one count of manslaughter.
It is alleged that on 29th January this year, she was driving a vehicle in Sigatoka in a reckless manner that caused the death of Elijah Jibola, who was crossing the road at the time of the incident.
Susana Radinivulagi is also charged with one count of manslaughter arising from a breach of duty.
It is alleged that on the same day, Radinivulagi neglected to supervise Jibola in the course of her duty, which led to his death.
The matter has been adjourned to 2nd June for plea.
