2 passengers from the Nailega accident on Thursday discharged this morning

The 2 passengers that were admitted at the CWM Hospital on Thursday due to an accident on Thursday morning in Nailega, Korovou have been discharged this morning and returned home.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu says no one has been charged yet.

Driu says a total of 16 passengers were involved in the accident where a three-ton truck and a private car collided.

He says 14 passengers were been treated at the Korovou Hospital and sent home while 2 were admitted at the CWM Hospital.

The Assistant Commissioner says road users need to drive safely as we approach this festive weekend.

He says they need to remain vigilant as people will be rushing for their Christmas shopping from today and tomorrow.

ACP Driu adds the investigation into the accident is still underway.
