2 missing at sea

Police are investigating two cases whereby two people are missing at sea in separate incidences.

A 28 year old cane cutter of Vatulaulau, Ba disappeared while swimming with his friend in Ba yesterday.

Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the two decided to go for a swim and after sometime his friend discovered him missing.

Search continues for him.

In another incident, police in Tukavesi are trying to locate a 55 year old fisherman of Kioa Island who is missing at sea after his boat capsized.

According to police the fisherman left home early yesterday morning and alarm was raised after he failed to return home yesterday afternoon.

Police were informed and his capsized boat was discovered. Officers from the Police search and rescue department are looking for him.
