The National Disaster Management Office has confirmed that two days of food rations will be provided for people living in Evacuation Centres around the country.
It has confirmed that Divisional Commissioners will facilitate this initiative.
There are six evacuation centres in the Central Division, seven in the Northern Division and four in Eastern Division.
All evacuation centers in the Western Division have been closed.
This means that about 1,500 people have returned to their homes.
The National Disaster Management Office also says that people staying in Evacuation Centre will return to their homes after the Ministry of Health and Divisional Commissioners conduct assessments to ensure no health risks.
Teams in the Divisions have started initial damage assessments.
