The 19-year-old man who was taken in for questioning regarding the defilement and abduction of a 14‑year‑old girl has been charged with one count of abduction and one count of defilement.
The 14‑year‑old girl was reported missing from her home in Sigatoka earlier this month.
The victim was located with the help of the public as they had recognized her pictures circulated in the media.
The accused man’s parents had then taken both the man and the girl to the Vunidawa Police Station.
