A 19-year-old man from Kadavu who was involved in the Vishnu Bhavan Temple break-in in Nasinu has been remanded in custody.
Suliano Wainivanua is charged with one count of sacrilege.
It is alleged that the temple security noticed that the temple was broken into at 5.45am between the 15th and 16th of last month and then reported the matter.
Wainivanua filed a formal bail application but this was objected by Police Prosecutor Setareki Mocevakaca who says that this is a case of public interest.
The case will be called again on the 23rd of this month.
