19‑year‑old Deepak Kumar who was earlier charged with murder, has now been discharged.
This is after the state lawyer told the court that the state does not wish to continue with the case.
It was alleged that Kumar drove his vehicle in a reckless manner and his conduct caused the death of a 7‑year‑old girl on the 21st of July this year.
The accident occurred at the junction of Foster Road and Tamavua-i-Wai after 8pm.
