19-year-old Grammar student thriving in rugby despite diabetes diagnosis

19-year-old Nathan of Suva Grammar School continues to pursue his rugby dreams despite being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.

Nathan plays for the Grammar U19 side and has proven that his condition does not hinder his health or performance on the field.

He says he plays not just for his team and school, but most importantly, for himself.

Diabetes Fiji says behind every diagnosis is a warrior, and Nathan has shown that his condition does not define him.

His father says Nathan continues to thrive and chase his passion for sport despite the daily challenges of living with Type 1 Diabetes.
