1.8M cases of COVID-19 around the world with 117,569 deaths

There are now 1.8 million cases of COVID-19 around the world with 117,569 deaths.

This is according to the latest data by the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering by Johns Hopkins University.

The US has the highest number of cases with 560,891 cases and 22,861 deaths which is also the highest globally.

This is followed by Spain with 169,496 cases and 17,489 deaths.

Here in the region, New Zealand has 1,349 cases and 5 confirmed deaths while Australia has 6,351 cases and 61 deaths.

The pandemic has reached every continent except Antarctica.
