The new $18.6 million Labasa Airport Terminal is nearing completion.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Professor Biman Prasad, who officiated at its groundbreaking ceremony, recently visited the site.
Professor Prasad says the new terminal is beginning to take shape and he is pleased that the project is nearing completion.
He says this will be a significant milestone for people travelling to and from Vanua Levu.
He says Vanua Levu is growing, with a lot to offer as tourism numbers continue to increase.
