17 participants to benefit from the Athletes Leadership Training organised by the Special Olympics Fiji

17 participants will benefit from the Athletes Leadership Training that was organised by the Special Olympics Fiji at the Suva Special School today.

Special Olympics Sports Director, Robin Dayal says the training will support the participants to become a voice for themselves in the sporting field and the public.

Dayal says the participants will also be trained to become coaches in the future.

He says 15 to 20 athletes will be trained as leaders to become the voice of the Special Olympics to the public and their fellow athletes.

He is also urging family members in the Western Division to come out in numbers as they will be having their round two of their training next Saturday.
