11 charged for not wearing masks while travelling in Public Service vehicles

Police have charged 11 people who were found not wearing masks while travelling in Public Service vehicles while 47 people have been charged for breaching containment zones.

Acting Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu stresses that wearing a mask is vital as part of the health guidelines under the Public Order Act.

Tudravu also says four business operators have been arrested for failing to comply with the orders while a case of non-adherence to the 50 percent Public Service Vehicle capacity was filed.
