109,310 people have so far received their booster dose

As of 11th March, a total of 109,310 individuals have so far received booster doses.

Permanent Secretary for Health Dr James Fong says the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are both available for adult booster doses.

Dr Fong says the ministry will continue to monitor the advisories on post-infection immunity based on quality data that is being generated globally.

He further says given the current stocks of Pfizer Vaccine, they will be using Pfizer for the ongoing primary 2 dose schedule of children and adults and as the booster dose.

Fiji has recorded 7 new COVID cases of which 2 new cases were recorded on Thursday and 5 new cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8 am yesterday.

There are currently 104 active cases in Fiji.
