10,000-litre water tank provided to Wailoku community

A 10,000-litre water tank has been provided to assist 37 families who have been continuously facing water issues on a daily basis in Wailoku.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Professor Biman Prasad, visited the community, assuring them that the buck doesn’t stop there as long-term solutions remain their priority.

He also stressed that water is a necessity and every Fijian deserves reliable access.

The community of Wailoku has been facing this issue for years, and there is a plan under the Water Sector Plan 2050 to alleviate the water problem.
