10 girls and women between the ages of 15 to 18 years from the Pacific will have the opportunity to participate in the 2020 Women in Science Camp in Indonesia in August.
This has been made possible through the US Embassy in Fiji who have managed to secure the spots.
8 spots are for the people of Fiji, Tonga, Kiribati, Nauru and Tuvalu while 2 spots are for Samoa.
Further details will be released shortly by the Embassy.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy has also announced that 2 people aged between 16-18 years will have the chance to be part of a fully funded trip for the Space Camp in August.
Applications have opened and will close on the 31st of next month.
The successful applicants will be able to get a taste of what it takes to be an astronaut and other careers in aeronautics, engineering, information technology, physics and amongst others.
