10-men Labasa through to BOG final after 5-4 penalty win over Lautoka

10-men Labasa are through to the final of the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream BOG after a thrilling semi final where they beat Lautoka 5-4 in penalty.

The match was tied 2-all at the end of extra time.

Labasa's Ilisoni Lolaivalu was red-carded for a dangerous tackle in the second half of extra spell.

Christopher Wasasala and Netani Suluka scored a goal each for Labasa.

Labasa's Lekima Gonerau scored an own goal while Lautoka's Sakaraia Naisua scored the other goal.

Labasa coach Intiaz Khan says they have to take advantage when the opportunity comes.

Khan says he told the players to keep the defence tight and it was hard for the Lautoka players to get through.

Suva and Navua are tied nil all in the other semi-final.

The final is at 4pm tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium.
