Waseroma Ramalesi Prasad

Waseroma Ramalesi Prasad, also known as Waseroma Junior from Lajonia, Labasa, has gained appreciation for singing kirtans during the Hindu festival of Krishna Janmashtami.

Junior has maternal links to Yalava, Macuata and while speaking to fijivillage News, he says he was in primary school when he started learning Hindi and later developed an interest in singing kirtan.

The 26-year-old says he is a member of the Namara Satsang Ramayan Mandali that have always encouraged him to sing kirtan during any festive season they celebrate.

He emphasised the importance of staying united as a community without hatred.

Junior says there is no reason to fight on social media, and we must respect others and their beliefs.
