Two Fiji Corrections Service officers are very thankful to the government for allowing them to get the shot of the COVID-19 vaccine before their deployment to Sudan.

Solomone Turaga and Selesitino Naeqe were part of the group that got their shot together with Health Minister, Doctor Ifereimi Waqainabete, the Permanent Secretary Doctor James Fong and Chief Medical Advisor, Doctor Jemesa Tudravu.

Turaga says taking the shot will allow them to travel to Sudan as there are restrictions around the globe due to the pandemic.

Turaga and Naeqe will be deployed to Sudan for peacekeeping duties for one year.
