 Ratu Latianara U16 players lead fight against drugs, teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS

Weet-Bix Raluve Under-16 champions, Ratu Latianara College in Serua are also taking a stand against some of the common issues faced by youths in society today.

Head Coach, Ratu Seru Kuriyalavou says these include drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, and HIV/AIDS.

Ratu Seru says the players have been educated, inspired, and empowered to fight against these issues.

He adds that they have also conducted outreach programs starting from the school and hope to extend these efforts to the wider community through awareness campaigns.

Ratu Seru adds that the team sees themselves as role models in society and are taking responsibility for educating, inspiring, and empowering their community.

Ratu Latianara beat Sigatoka Methodist College 12-10 to win the title.
