Only one major fundraiser allowed for schools in a year – Kuruleca
Permanent Secretary for Education, Selina Kuruleca

Permanent Secretary for Education, Selina Kuruleca stresses that schools are only allowed to have one major fundraiser in a year.

Kuruleca says all approvals for fundraising must be sought first from the Ministry of Education.

She has made this clear after a parent, Ilisabeta Delai from Lautoka raised this issue and says that she gets updates from their class page on Viber that each student should sell tickets for kava barrels before the commencement of school in the next few days.

She says they have done a lot of fundraising over the past few years and have not seen the fruition of the projects anticipated by their PTFA members.
