The man believed to be involved in a robbery and was captured on CCTV footage, is in police custody.
Police say the suspect is alleged to have grabbed the victim’s bag as she was getting out of a taxi on Saturday evening outside a shop in Raiwaqa.
The suspect took off with her bag, which contained a mobile phone and cash, whereby the victim later reported the matter at the Raiwaqa Police Station.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu says the suspect is being questioned as investigations continue.
