Large crowd witnesses Ram Leela in Navua

A large crowd turned up at the Girmit Festival in Navua yesterday to enjoy the festivities and witness the Ram Leela.

Sharmila Kumar who is a businesswoman from Nasasa Rd Navua is anticipating on having an annual Ram Leela Festival in Navua.

Another Navua resident, Shivneel Kumar expects a bigger crowd if Navua gets to host the Girmit Festival in the future and is hoping for more support for the people of Navua.

The 27 year old business director says he was excited when it was announced that Navua will host the Girmit Festival and have the Ram Leela Festival as it is one of the major festivals in Hinduism depicting the life of Lord Rama.

The Ram Leela was held at the Vashist Muni Institute Hall and was hosted by Shree Satsang Ramayan Mandali of Lami.
