An Immigration Officer who is charged with one count of rape will be produced in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
He is alleged to have raped a woman in a hotel in Nadi on the 17th of this month.
Prosecution has objected to bail by saying that the accused and the complainant live in the same area in Nadi.
Defence lawyer Jiten Reddy told the court that if the accused is granted bail he will relocate to Navua.
The case will be called for bail hearing today.
