Hundreds of devotees gathered at Nadi Temple for Annual Thaipoosam Thirunaal Puja

Hundreds of devotees gathered today at the Nadi Temple for the Annual Thaipoosam Thirunaal Puja to worship Lorth Karthik, the son of Lord Shiv.

People from overseas and all over the country are at the temple to perform and take part in the religious ceremony where devotees get piercings with tridents and arrows.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Anish Krishna, a devotee, says this is the most awaited prayer ceremony for the people in Nadi as it lasts ten days.

Krishna says Hawan is performed by the Head Priest and different districts every day.

He says individuals who participate in the ceremony are required to be vegetarian for at least 45 days before the commencement of the prayer.

Tomorrow will be the final day for prayers.
