A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji Group while a flash flood warning remains in force for all flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.

A flood warning remains in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Waimanu River while a flood alert remains in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of the Wainimala, Waidina, Wainibuka and Ba Rivers.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure lies over the group associated with clouds and rain and is expected to affect the group for the next few days.

They say drivers can expect significant disruption to traffic flow and transport routes due to roads being flooded or closed.

They further say river and flash flooding may lead to localised damage to infrastructure, agricultural farms and settlements near streams and riverbanks.
