A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji, while a Flash Flood Alert remains in force for all flash flood-prone areas, small streams and low-lying areas of Viti Levu.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow-moving over the southern parts of the country.

They say the associated cloud and rain continue to affect most parts of the group until tomorrow.

The forecast for tonight is occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms over Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Moala and Southern Lau groups.

Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Moderate to fresh southeast to northerly winds, gusty at times.

Moderate to rough seas.
