The Director of South Pacific Boxing Promotion, Mohammed Shameem confirms the Boxing Commission of Fiji will be giving the heavyweight belt to James "The Beast" Singh this week.
Shameem says he thinks this was an oversight by the Commission and they must have forgotten about the belt.
He says the belt should have been at the weigh-in on Friday.
Shameem says the Chairman of the Boxing Commission, Subhash Appana did apologise to Singh.
He says this is the first time this has happened.
Singh says it was so heartbreaking to win without a belt at Lawaqa Park.
Singh knocked out Jonasa Kavika in the 8th round and was declared the champion but was not presented with a belt.
He says this is disappointing.
