Fiji national athletics rep and former Adi Cakobau School sprinter Frances Tuva

Fiji national athletics rep and former Adi Cakobau School sprinter Frances Tuva will be a player to watch this Saturday in the Weet-Bix Raluve U18 semi finals.

Tuva was crucial in Natabua High School’s 41-0 win over Nasinu Secondary School in last week’s quarter finals, scoring and setting up tries.

The 18-year-old also played a crucial role in Natabua’s match during the Western Zone Raluve competition.

Tuva says the transition from the tracks to the rugby field was a challenge for her, but her commitment, dedication and support from her teammates contributed to her success.

She says defeating Nasinu Secondary 41-0 in the quarter-final last week was a big achievement for the girls.

Natabua will play Dawasamu Secondary at 2.20pm in the second semi final, and ACS will meet Bucalevu Secondary School at 1.15pm in the first semi-final.

In the U16 semi final, Sigatoka Methodist High School will face Lelean Memorial School at 8.30am at Bidesi Ground and ACS will meet Niusawa Methodist at 8.30am at Buckhurst Ground 1.

All the games will be held at the HFC Bank Stadium, Buckhurst 1 and Bidesi Ground.
