 Former typist at the Family Court Registry fronts court for allegedly stealing from the Maintenance Fund

A former typist at the Family Court Registry appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court for allegedly stealing $2,600 from the Maintenance Fund, which was entrusted to her at the Suva Family Court Registry.

FICAC has charged Seini Rokosamu with one count of Embezzlement by Servant and three counts of Obtaining a Financial Advantage.

The alleged incident took place between January and February 2009.

She is further alleged to have falsified signatures on the Maintenance Payment Sheet for three different people in order to receive a total of $830 on three different occasions in 2010.

Rokosamu has been released on bail and the matter has been adjourned to 22nd September.
