Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne says they need to ensure that their training is physical as Tonga has already played a game coming into this week.

Byrne highlighted this to the media at the Holiday Inn saying today their training was really physical as they stepped things up another notch.

He says their training has to marry up to the physicality to get them ready for the weekend.

The Flying Fijians coach says they will be focusing on their ability to hold on to the ball, control possession, and embrace themselves for the physical contact.

He says they do not want to get too far away from the fact that they need to maintain possession, be physical and work hard around the breakdown.

Tonga beat Samoa 30-16 last week at home and are out this week to prove they are the kings of Pacific rugby.

Fiji plays Tonga at 3pm Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
